lace is a very tricky fabric its either can go VERY feminine or very tacky and slutty as some call it

it always depends on the cut and on the amount of of how much of skin you show ..

I have seen amazing LACE tops in Forever21 and H&M
in a very reasonable rates , go and get ur self some lace

The Dont's

- DONT wear lace on lace -_- ugly
-Dont go over the top with your choices of lace pieces keep it classy and try to avoid very high risk cuts.
-Dont try to go crazy over lace and get lace peices with all colors , if you want to stay safe get either white or black lace.. not all of the colors works on lace pieces.
-Dont wear lace on busy prints, when you wear lace with other piece try to use it with plan fabrics , plans skirts,pants etc.. keep it simple.
-Dont wear lace fabric or piece you are not sure of, wear what you think will suit your body type and wear it with confidence.

last week i had to go the nearest MAC store and get myself a look of whats in there and ofcourse get me some of this new collection, I gotta say I loved the packaging more than the colors itself to be honest

Oh So Fair Mid-tone pink with gold pearl (Limited Edition) -its beauty Powder, just normal matte pink blush its good for natural/simple looks

Wicked Ways Beautiful Cherry Red with fuchsia sparkle

Toxic Tale Bright coral (Satin) (Limited Edition) -i loved how bold this color is, its orange but a nice shade of orange , i will recommend it for girls who likes to use and try out new colors and not afraid of using bold ones

She Who Dares Deep navy with blue pearl / Deep forest green with lime pearl (Limited Edition)

I loved the eyeshadow am not an eyeshadow person to be honest, i like to use mostly colors and brown shades but this is so beautiful i couldn't handle but get myself one since am a fan of olive green color,and it has this AMAZING shimmer that will look amazing for a smokey eyes look so and there is another deep purple color in the collection which is nice as well but i went for this one.

Samsaara - VikramPhadnis

Designer to the stars, VikramPhadnis kickstaretd his glamorous collection with models in half saris - elaborately embroidered skirtspaired with sheer stoles and dupattas that covered solid-colouredvelvet blouses adorned with sequined borders.

The 39-piece collection moved forward from Rajasthani inspired half-saris to Mughal influenced dresses, each outfit representing the essence of the designers’ work and career in the Bollywood industry.

The outfits were an interpretation of India through the eyes of the designer. The salwarkameezes, lehengas, saris all tell a story of the Indian woman from across different cultures and backgrounds.

Phadnis presented a set of outfits in sheer black with gold work that made for a powerful statement against Sati, an age-old Indian tradition of widow sacrifice. With simple styling and neat cuts, his ensembles used clothes in striking palettes or as undertones to nude colors.

The signature Phadnis style of using velvet and brocade with tasseled ends dominated the collection, as models sashayed down the ramp in outfits that were replete with delicate hand embroidery.

Symmetrical gold bands ran through velvet skirts that were accompanied by ornate veils and sheer dupattas. Phadnis used variations of beige, purple, pink and red to combine and play with sleeves, skirts, pants and tunics of different patterns that all came together to form stunning and evocative combinations.

Young designers, Meher&Riddhima dazzled the crowds at the Dubai Fashion Week with their latest S/S 2011 collection that was dedicated to explorer extraordinaire Amelia Earhart. The collection titled “Amelia” celebrates the woman, as one who lives for her passions and is unafraid of pursuing her dreams. A collage of photos and sounds of planes flying overhead set the mood to pay homage to the lady pilot.

The collection commenced with white frocks carrying airplane motifs, after which, the collection progressed to short dresses with cinched waists. Experimenting with prints for the first time, Meher&Riddhima use an abundance of green patterned silk in their resort wear collection. The kaftans employed minimal embellishments working primarily with bright colours and their tasseled innovations. With vibrant hues of corals, greens, peach and mango yellow,Meher&Riddhima’s collection was playful and flirty.

The UmarSayeed show presented two collections that paid tribute to Pakistani artist SadequainNaqqash, iconic Pakistani novella Gardish-e-Rang-e-Chaman respectively. Kicking off with a slideshow of the collective works of the artists, the opening ensemble was an elaborate ivory jacket illustrated with some of Sadequain’s most famous paintings. A bird’s nest adorned the model’s hair, paying tribute to crows and cacti, iconic elements of the paintings. The first six sets were a tribute to the world famous Pakistani artist and depicted resilience.

While the first half of the show depicts resilience, the second half works with gracefully vibrant colors, bringing the pages of the Qurratulin Hyder novel to life. The 20 creations displayed were made of fine chiffons, silks, cottons and hand-woven brocades, all complete with designs embroidered by hand. One of Pakistan’s top brands, UmarSayeed’s new collection boasts of a classic appeal, unbound by geography and time.

Abeer Al Suwaidi – Ush

Drummers in Rastafarian caps set the stage for an energetic and pulsating show by Emirati designer Abeer Al Suwadi. The highly theatrical show, with feeding bottles, Rasta braids, Thai headdresses, cupcakes and large glasses on the models, that made for a fun collection that reflected the designer’s personality.

The collection paid tribute to Bob Marley and David Bowie by boldly emblazoning their faces onto the black abayas. Innovative designs included knotted coloured cloth that held the abayas in place, as well as the 2-piece abaya and patterned sleeve endings in a myriad of colors. The ever popular butterfly sleeve took a whole new meaning as models in black abayas strutted to reveal brightly coloured patterns on the underside of the abaya.

The collection was divided into four themes, taking one through the 70s, 80s, and the 90s, with one theme focussing on Moroccan and Thai culture. The abayas reflected the Emirati woman as one with multiple interests and passions. The material of choice was primarily cotton, in a bid to make comfortable, weather-friendly abayas.

Abeer Al Suwaidi is the pioneer of the skinny abaya and the illustrated abaya. Both styles made appearances on the runway in various materials, shades and patterns. The tempo of the show was a gradual build up, climaxing in the models bursting out onto the stage.

The collection was demonstrative of the abaya’s fusion with pop culture without compromising its classic appeal. The show was a joyful tribute to the glorious yesteryears, by and for, the Emirati woman.

Aartivijay Gupta-Aditi Jaggi Rastogi/Priyanka Kakkar

The Aartivijay Gupta and Aditi Jaggi Rastogi collection displayed a variety of innovative designs of traditional Indian wear. Saris featured were blue and red with embellishments and patterns, accompanied by feathers in the models hair, harking back to the glamorous era of old-school Bollywood. Flowy lehengas worn with cholis featuring high collars and intricate Indian embroidery followed the sari sequence. The traditional salwar kameez was given an extra feminine edge as it brought in lace churidars and sheer leggings. A long aqua skirt paired with an ornate open purple and gold jacket that resembled colors of the setting sun. The showstopper lehenga was in a warm tone of pink and complemented by a sheer stole or dupatta, also in pink and dusted with sequins and shimmer.

Twisted Marine, by the Ankyra collection used simple and clean cuts to accentuate the female form in all its elegance. Knee-length dresses with sharp cuts were interspersed with ruffles. Cowl sleeves, frills and embroidered yokes were seen on the runway. Treated textiles of silk, satins, chiffons and georgettes used a progressive colour palette that ranged from ivory, earth brown, pastel green and lavender to deepening pink hues. Priyanka Kakkar’s pastel dresses were embellished with motifs and dashes of bright colours that added a sense of vibrancy and excitement – the hallmarks of spring - to the elegant clothes.

Label 24 – Rohit Karma/Abdul Halder

Debuting at Dubai Fashion Week this year, retailers Label 24 are all set to take the Dubai fashion industry by storm. Showcasing two of their 4 designer talents, Rohit Kamra and Abdul Halder, Label 24’s collection was a display of the label’s emerging talent.

Rohit Karma kicked off the show with his men’s wear collection. Blending East and West, the collection brought out the Indian Maharaja in the modern man. Hailing from the Indian city of Jaipur, his local influences manifest themselves on the runway in the form of jodhpur s, high collars and Nehru vests. The collection makes ample use of the cloth shading technique that is characteristic to Jaipur fashion. The formal wear presented laid a heavy emphasis on crisp cuts, while making use of subtle ethnic designs, thereby balancing the finer elements of both cultures.

Abdul Halder presented a trousseau collection aimed at the modern bride, incorporating Indian designs into traditionally Western silhouettes. Lehengas of deep red were accompanied by pale gold churidars and sarongs. Saris in pale blue and baby pinks were worn with sequined blouses, while long silk skirts with heavy embellishments were paired with solid coloured corsets.

Halder used silk as a fixture in all his outfits ranging from crisp white pant suits to varying hues of scarlet, pink and midnight blue. Anupama Verma of Label 24 and a former supermodel, was radiant in the green showstopper 2-piece combo made entirely out of deep green tulle and silk. The flouncy tulle skirt and its V-cut shirt was set off with a chunky silver neckpiece.

Its always good to use natural stuff .. i have discovered this trough online ..a A Natural Hair conditioner!

all what you need is an Avocado and Olive Oil

Mash together olive oil and avocado.

Apply to hair, wrap in a plastic bag and let sit for at least 30 minutes.

Rinse and shampoo as normal

I wanted to try this first to see if it works and i admit i tried it only once yes once but i have seen a good result and i think i will keep doing this once a week as a hair mask.

i wanted to try something new , light in the skin and suits my sensitive skin as well
And this was really great i was surprised it didn't break out my skin ! which is a great thing since almost every foundation makes my skin break out, so that's why i have to change my foundation every 3 months.
I would totally recommend it for girls whos looking for light foundation with a good coverage

I have always wanted to try out that dark shade of red and i have already tried hot pink but i wanted something new, and the beige is a must have color for me but i didnt have that shade of beige which is beautiful.

i would totally recommend it for those who looks for bold colors and who looks for lipsticks that are not too dry and stays for a good time.

lets be honest at first i was attracted to the packaging! its soooo cute~
and then when i knew its a shimmery powder i wanted to use it on my hands to see..
it has VERY VERY VERY small shimmer which is very great
and the color suits everyone since its very light

I would recommened it for girls who are looking for a shimmer powder that it snt toooo way shimmery and wants to use it for usual nights out it will give your face a simple glow that suits nights

i wanted to try something different ,, so i went for this metallic color its nice since its not too light and yes it has shimmer but the good mount of it, its not glitter its shimmer there is a big difference its nice and all but you have to apply it more than once to get that bold color the other thing i didnt like was when it gets inside of the eyes "IT HURTS" i would recommend it for who likes to try new looks but the fact that it hurts does bother me ,since my liquid black lancome eyelinerdoesn't hurt at all if it went inside the eyes ,but you can be careful ,i would also recommend the new colored mac eyeliner collection thats if you are looking for a colored eyeliner since i heard good reviews about it

I didnطt leave a brand but using their mascaras !this borgous 1001 lashes so far is one of the best that i have used..it makes your lashes looks longer and thicker

Sephora lipsticks are so far the best lipsticks that i have ever tried and trust me i have tried sooo many lipsticks ,starting from mac,chanel,dior..etc... in all you have to apply them every now and then,but with Sephora lipsticks it stays for a long time and their colors are so bold and no they are not going to make your lips looks dry !

I dont use powders .. only when there is an occation i do so it sets the foundation to stay longer . this powder flawless from benefit is amazing! my sister used it before I did and it worked like wonders on her ,so I got myself one and let me tell you its amazing

Mac Fluidline Gel Liner is amazing for both eye waterline and on the eye lid .. it stays for long and doesn't smudge on the eyes and I have two colors of this dark green and brown and i love it

Lancome Water-prove Kohol , is one of the best Kohol pencils that i have ever used
Lancome Liquid eyeliner , let me tell you girls, THIS IS A MUST MUST MUST HAVE! if you love liquid eyeliners you should get this one, the brush it self is soo thin that can make it easy for you to draw a thin line.. it stays for a long time + its too dark *lovvvve*

I have done how to wear striped T-shirt in many ways post before
and I cant get enough of them :/ They were my fav during my Trip

I bought this long Top/dress from Pimkie there are some in H&M as well
those has 3/4 sleeves and the length is perfect can look good as a tight dress and add some killer shoes or as a top with tight or jeans under for a casual look.

1st look, simple as possible

Here I wore it alone with black tights and Belt with a bow that i love from Zara
and while i was out i took a shoulder bag from Aldo same color as the belt , also wore wooden/golden bangles from H&M and Aldo

Second look, edgy

Here I wore it with A leather Jacket from Pimkie and Nude Heels & Black Jeans from stradavarius, didnt wear any accessories other than the Damion ring.

Third look: Casual Chic

Here I wore denim shirt from stradavarius over it and unbuttoned it ,the shoes from stradavarius as well ,the Black Jeans from Zara , Channel 2.55 Bag and J12 black watch from Channel as well

Ashley Greene Pulled this Look off she wore Antonio Berardi dress and it doesn't look "trashy" on her.. I know some would wear it in a wrong way that would make it look cheap. but she worked everything up staring with the hair style ,makeup,accessories and the shoes.

a TIP: when you wear a reveling dress or a dress with a dramatic cut or color, try to make everything else simple so your look doesn't go too crowded or too cheap, you control the look don't make the look control you.

I would go for it ONLY in a private girls party no for weddings - out of respect for our Arabian gulf culture -, I would recommend this for married women in a romantic dinner with the husband its flattering and so feminine.

Here i was dressed up to go to A Fashion Museum in Spain,i went for something simple yet chic a bit.

Here after we came Back from the museum we were suppose to go to for shopping since it was our last day, so we had five mins to go home to pick the others up "who didn't go to the museum" so i run INTO the house and decide i want to go Trendy in the fastest way possible so i wore this RED skinny Jeans that i got WHILE back from terranova i think :/that I never wore before "specially in Public" but I had to take th chance lol , i ALSO wore Geeky Glasses! YES I DID.. so it was trendy&geeky with only changing 2 items

PS:I changed the Shoes tho to a Black Pumps , to break the color out a bit ,but i had to take a picture quickly so thats why u see the other shoes lol!

I liked the packaging, I dont see anything new about the colors , I wish there were a blush colors within this collection, The NailPolish colors are cute ,the two eyeshadow from the left -in the picture above-would look perfect for a night occasion,they would look good in a smokey eyes look ,either in the eyelid or under the eyes as well , the icy white eyeshadow would be amazing in the inner corner of the eye ,it will give the eyes a glow and it can make it look wider , am not sure of the gloss colors nothing is new about it.. the yellow is just weird tho and its too shimmery for me.

This wouldn't come to Oman soon for sure

I love how elegant she is .. shes so classy and she choose her clothes carefully to fit each event she attends. love her picks of colors, her choices of clothes shows how strong and confident she is,I know Some wouldn't dear to wear some of her looks ,but she did and she sure pulled them all off!

I think she inspires a lot of Khaleeji Girls out there in so many ways.

I prefer the "Sheila" look on her more than the Hair band or whatever they call it but she looks gorgeous anyway ,she is on my list of the people who I "WISH" that i can meet one day...

I am sorry for not updating everyday,I Have been busy Packing.. am still confused I dont know what to take and what to leave lol
specially the shoes ... i know I should Only take flats but i love heels Cant not take any

My Tip: is try to pack light as much as you can take your favorite outfits, put in mind you would buy stuff from there so you would sure use them and you will sure need a space in your suitcase! and count how many days you would stay there and take the things that you know that you will SURE wear , last year i didnt use half of the stuff i Got with me instead i bought from there some outfits and wore them..

PS: I would take pictures of my outfits there or would take pictures of stylish women over there. this should be fun

I didnt like the new LV sport bag I think they are basically for men, it looks weird to me with the football inspired look!
yes i know its unique sport bag and they should show that but i always think the classic look is classier and chic this would be for a football player..this looks only cute PERIOD!

Travel In Style

Last summer when we traveled I had a very hard time shopping for traveling clothes
as a girl who Wears Hijab and since am used to wear always "Abayas"

Must Haves : Cardigans,boyfriend Blazers&shirts, skinny jeans and tanktops!
to complete your look: colorful shoes,heels or flats,belts,bags,simple accessories like watches,bangles and long necklaces

here are some of the looks that i went for last summer

In this look I was going for something basic and simple, wide white shirt,black vest ,blue jeans a white Chanel watch and red heels to give the look a bit of a color.
Here i wore plaid shirt,gray vest and also jeans with black leather belt and flats
this is a very simple look as well ,strapped cardigan blue/gray..and i wore lighter shade of gray blue shoes and a black leather bag to cool down the color
navy blue boyfriend blazer ,white shirt and hotpink cuff to add some color
This day was funny since i was waiting for it to rain and there was non! and suddenly it did rain but for 5 MINUTES ! i was still holding the umbrella anyway "its cute"
I wore a beige pants, a black tanktop and over it i wore this coat i got from MANGO the heels were black as the bag, the thing u cant see there was a pin red rose on the coat that I added
You can always add some color to ur outfit

if you can see all of my looks were simple with a colorful touch,and to be honest i got lot of pants but i kept wearing jeans jeans jeans, I got about 7pair of normal pants and 3 pair of jeans that i wore mostly , because in the first 4 days i wore cotton pants and some other fabrics other than jeans and oh boy was it messy or what! those are not for trips they are more like for a dinner or a shopping in a mall day, the cotton pants gets dirty EASILY even black! and those wrinkles i just HATE!

I might travel with my family "not sure yet" and if so i would be posting what i have wore each day of my staying this would be fun!

Here I added a leather bow belt to give it a cuter look! but its up to you if you want to add something like that to it or not.. and without the belt you can work with other accessories like a colorful heels or colorful bangles

Beauty Tips: Castor oil

Castor oil has Many benefits and i would mention the most two important benefits from Castor oil that you girls can easily use at home.

for eyelashes: for thick long eyelashes use a clean mascara brush and dip it in Castor oil and apply it like ur applying a normal mascara to ur eyelashes, its a bit thick so try to put a bit oil not too much.. and its better if u used it before going to sleep. by time you would see how thick and long your eyelashes became, I used this a year ago and it worked i stopped i dont know why, but i will start doing this again since mascara damages/weaken up ur lashes. it also work wonders on hair.

For feet:TO Get rid of the maeks that your shoe left in your feet specially your toes try to youse Castor oil , before you sleep apply some in your feel and rub it. then wear socks over them and sleep by time you will see how the marks are totally gone!

I personally didnt try it ,but my friend did and she said it works like magic.

am so excited to introduce you girls the first ladies who are featured in "Style In Muscat" I saw the two amazing ladies in Marks&Spencer in al Bahja .. they cough my eyes since they looked a very close friends.. lets call them J & E "since they dont want me to mention their names"

J -shes the one on the left- She has a colorful style. she told me she loves orange shades.. i loved her necklaces dark orange with terquaz color touches..she used the colors wisely,I loved how she broke the color orange by wearing beige cotton comfy pants which is adding more of a casual look to it.. also if you want to dress this look up you can wear skinny jeans with orange shade heels..her shoulder bag is brown like her lovely flats to keep the look balanced you can replace that with a beige/golden clutch to dress it up ,for a dinner party or something like that

E "on the right" in the other hand is soo adorable she wore this cute black and white knee length dress.with a cute little black bag and a white flats that I loved.. so chic yet casual!
you can dress this look up by adding colorful heels like red heels or a nice silver clutch, or a waist belt

It was lovely to meet those two wonderful ladies .. they were soo nice and am happy that I got the chance to meet up with them, i was afraid to say "hi" since its my first time ,but my little sis was like GO FOR IT! and i did :D

EVERYONE should have striped tees, it never dies IN fashion world.
striped tees are so in right now, but i think they never go out of fashion..
you can wear them with whatever you have and no one would say ahh thats old fashion!

I have MANY striped tees,sweaters/cardigans even vests
they can work with anything ,it depends on the taste tho..

here are some looks i made from "ONLY ONE" striped tee_from Mango-, so u can see my point when i say you can work it with anything.its all about the taste and what you got..if you don't have a striped t-shirt you better get one soon :p

Here i wore with the striped tee a navy blue boyfriend blazer from topshop. you can dress it down or up by adding accessories as you can see from the pictures.

here i wore a normal white denim jacket from Zara and to add some color to it I wore a leather shoulder bag from Aldo.

and here i wore it with a red leather jacket i got from vintage shop in Germany

here i used plain black cardigan from Zara i unbuttoned it and used a long necklace to add something to it

here i used the same black cardigan but i button it up and added a red belt

Those were some looks of many you can have.. its easy to work your look out.. just find the right items :)

OK this is a trend that you cant see anywhere in the world but in The Arabian Gulf countries.. we call it "Qambo3a" or some call it "3okfa"

what it is .. simply get the biggest hair clip you will ever see around and wear it then put on your scarf/veil over it :D

it started mostly around 2004 i saw it first in UAE when i used to live there then when i came back to oman i was like okaaay its starting to be a trend over here.. and its like seeing girls with huge alien heads suddenly everywhere

yes I have "SEEN" girls having such a hug head in public places and malls.

I personally wear hair clips just to hold my hair and sheila but not the HUGE ones
i remember i have worn huge ones more than once by mistake if i was in a hurry i would grab anything in front of me and wear it,then i would see my reflection in a store's mirror or window glass, and i would go like @_@ NO NO NO! i did not.. I get the Huge ones for one purpose to wear them at weddings when i have no time to style my hair I hold all my hair up and put the hair clip and then put my hair all over it to cover the whole clip with my hair and use bob pins in the end of it to hold hair ends, so it looks like this..and it really works. some thinks I went to the salon .. which is a good thing try it out.

Whats good is that more girls are more awear now of how FUGLY it looks.. and try to ban this by using normal hair clips

Statement accessories are so in, big statement rings, statement necklaces ,bracelets,bags/clutches ,shoes or watches.

am into accessories i love my diamond jewels but seriously sometimes you just want to wear something other than that ,which go with Your casual looks ..bracelets/bangles for me make the look stand out.. i love owning jewels and accessories they add so much to whole look ..
Statement doesn't only mean HUG & VERY BIG .. it can be a bold color, bold design or so.

Today me and my close friend Suha where chatting earily morning and she mentioned that she got the Omega-3 pills ..and she is starting to take them

I have tried it before but used to smell so i stoped, I Told her that and she said the one she is using now doesnt.

Omega-3 is also called fish oil.. its very very good for your hair,skin and nails.
i have read many blogs that talks about how effective it is..

so i think I will start using it and get the one that doesnt really smell lol!
I think its important for girls to take vitamin pills and omega3 pills since it helps the body and doesnt harm it in anyway ;)

Use Cold Rose water whenever you wash your face or use make frozen cubs of rose water just to use it for Ur face every morning .. you also can use cotton pads and use it as a toner, its so good for the skin and if you kept using it you will see a different rosy glow in Ur face ;)

the trends that i have been seeing around in this season are floral dresses and jeans/denim are back as well , also wooden/brown/golden accessories are so on..

Beauty Secret:
I love using natural stuff in my face whenever I get the chance
I know with our lifestyle now its harder to have the time and take care much of ourselves.. we would rather buy a face scrub from any drugstore than making one, but why wouldn't we try to make some time to get a natural care from our mother nature lol

I would recommend this for sure and You wouldn't regret!

Lemon with Sugar

all u need is lemon juice and some sugar!

cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a small cup or bowl. Mix with an equal amount of water *if you want* then add tablespoon of sugar *brown or white*, and its ready to be used just put some in your face ,you can use cotton pads or your fingers and use circle moves..

it helps taking out the dead skin cells, lighting up ur skin & sun burns..
I personally use it twice a month and i use it in my face and hands it smooth it out <3
and if u want to you it as a moisturizer just add almond oil and dont use much sugar.

so this new Nails Trend called "Minx"
its not a nail polish its some kinda paper that sticks to the nails with heat..
it has many colors and designs You wont be able to do and find them in a nailpolish
many celebrities loves doing Minx like Beyonce. Katty perry,lady gaga and Rihanna.

I have tried it in Tips&Toes in Bareeq al Shatti

I only did my Toes ,because i was like am not sure if am going to pull of the metallic gold,but it looks cute on the toes lol

I love Vintage stuff.. it can add so much to your outfit and look.
but there is a difference between vintage ,trash and ugly

not everything old is gold believe me lol

I have seen girls trying to pull off the vintage look and it was a disaster
the rule of using vintage don't use more than ONE or max two vintage Items in ONE look
or it will look too much "old"

perfect example of pulling off a vintage look

Julia Roberts chose a vintage Valentino dress, 73rd Academy Awards

and kim kardashian pulled also a Valentino dress that her mom wore in 84!

always on vintage try to look for something that can suits you and suits your whole look.. vintage jewels can be amazing specially statement rings and brooches <3

i created this blog in that day and waited till i feel ready enough to start this blog
